Retaining Walls

The Chattanooga area is full of sloped lots, and a retaining wall is usually the only way to get flat, usable yard out of a hillside. Green Relief Landscaping builds new retaining walls and tears out and replaces old failing ones. A wall has to handle water and soil pressure, not just look good, so we build with proper base, backfill, and drainage behind the block. Done right, a wall holds the hill and gives you a level spot for a patio, a lawn, or a planting bed.

Our Retaining Walls Process

We look at the slope, the water path, and the height you need, then price the wall.

We excavate and cut the bench, and remove the old wall if there is one.

We set a compacted base course, build up the courses level, and backfill with drainage stone and pipe.

We cap the wall, grade behind it, and finish with sod, beds, or stone.
