Paver Patios

A good patio is mostly the part you never see. We build paver patios, walkways, cobble borders, natural stone steps and fire pit areas for homes around Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia, and we spend most of our time on the dig, the base and the compaction underneath. That's what keeps a patio flat and tight years from now instead of sinking and shifting after a few winters.

What you get with a paver patio

Space outside you'll actually use, for grilling, a fire pit or just sitting out in the evening.
A compacted base that stays level instead of dipping where you walk the most.
If something ever needs fixing, individual pavers lift out and go back in. No jackhammer.
It ties in with sod, beds and lighting, so the whole backyard looks planned.

How we build a patio

We look at the space with you and talk size, shape and paver style, then you get a written price.

We dig it out with our own excavator and skid steer and haul the dirt off.

We put down base stone, compact it in layers, screed the bedding and set the grade so water runs away from the house.

We lay the pavers, cut the edges clean, set the border and sweep in joint sand.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a patio take to build?

Most backyard patios take a few days once we start. Size, how easy it is to get equipment back there, and how much digging the ground needs all change that. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we price it.

Can you add a fire pit, steps or a walkway?

Yes. Fire pits, stone steps and walkways are the add-ons we build most. It's easier and costs less to plan them in from the start than to come back later, so bring them up at the estimate even if you're not sure yet.

Will my patio sink or shift over time?

Sinking almost always comes from a thin or poorly compacted base. That's why we dig deeper than you'd think, compact the stone in layers and grade it to drain. It's the slowest part of the job and the part we won't rush.
