A soggy yard is more than just an eyesore. It damages your lawn, creates muddy messes every time it rains, and can even threaten your foundation over time. Most homeowners just live with it. We don't think that's the right answer.
This yard needed a full reset. We came in and addressed the root cause of the water problem - not just the surface. That meant regrading the ground to redirect flow, installing a French drain system underground, and burying the downspouts so water gets moved away from the house properly. No more pooling. No more soggy patches after every storm.
On top of the drainage work, we laid a new paver walkway using a clean, tumbled stone in a mixed pattern with natural stone border edging. It's sturdy, it looks sharp, and it ties the whole backyard together. We also brought in river rock beds along the house foundation and put down fresh Bermuda sod across the lawn area to get the grass back in good shape.
What you end up with is a yard that actually works. Water moves where it's supposed to. The lawn has a fighting chance to grow. And the hardscaping gives the space a finished, intentional look instead of that patchwork feel. Everything we did here serves a purpose - form and function working together.
When a yard has drainage issues, just throwing sod down or adding decorative rock doesn't solve anything. You have to deal with the water first. That's the approach we take on every job like this - figure out what the yard actually needs, then build something that lasts.
