The entrance to Bluff View in Ringgold was working against the neighborhood. Overgrown juniper had taken over the bed in front of the brick sign - sprawling, dried out, and just plain tired looking. It was the kind of thing you stop noticing after a while, but visitors sure don't.
We started with a full landscape removal. All that old juniper came out, roots and all. Once the bed was cleared, we had a clean slate to work with - and that's where the fun starts.
For the new install, we planted a mix of shrubs that bring both color and texture to the space. You've got deep burgundy plants in the foreground, bright green boxwoods framing the sign, and ornamental grasses adding some movement on the edges. Fresh pine straw ties it all together and gives the bed that finished, intentional look. It's a simple plant selection, but the layering makes it stand out.
Then we added landscape lighting. This is the part that really changes how an entrance reads after dark. Uplights positioned at the base of the sign wash the brick with warm light, making the whole structure pop. What used to disappear into the darkness at night is now a proper landmark. For a neighborhood entrance, that kind of visibility matters - it signals pride of ownership from the moment someone pulls in.
Removal, installation, lighting - all three services came together on this one, and the results speak for themselves. This is exactly the kind of work we love doing, whether it's a neighborhood entrance, a commercial property, or a residential front bed that needs a fresh start.
